The perfect home from home
We have furnished and equipped Casa da Rosa so you will feel at home the moment you walk through the door. Here you will find a description of all the facilities available.
General
Air conditioning
Air conditioning is installed in all rooms, adjustable by remote control. In the pool bar and at the outdoor table there are also ceiling fans with remote control.
Fireplace
There is a fireplace but we request that you do not use it as birds regularly nest in the chimney.
Iron and ironing board
Both are available in the large cupboard in the kitchen.
Wheelchair accessible
The ground floor of the villa, gardens and pool area are wheelchair accessible by a gravel path from the driveway and ramp to the rear of the property. The ground floor bathrooms all have large walk in showers - one in particular offers excellent wheelchair access.
Central heating
There is central heating throughout the house provided by an environmentally friendly heat pump source.
Parking spot
The is a carport with shade for two cars and additional cars can be parked on the driveway and at the entrance.
Hairdryers
A hairdryer is provided in every bathroom which also have power sockets.
Sitting room
The sitting room is spacious with 2 comfortable sofas and a chair. It has a wonderful view of the terrace, pool and garden and access via a sliding door.
Bed linen included
Your bed is freshly made on arrival. For longer stays this will be changed weekly.
Garage
There is a garage but it is not accessible to guests, instead a carport is provided.
Hand soap / shower soap
Hand soap is available in the kitchen, bathrooms and toilet, but not shower soap or shampoo.
Television
There are Smart UHD TVs in the living room and games room with free MEO TV access. All bedrooms also have HD TV with free MEO TV access
Washing machine and dishwasher
The kitchen has both a built-in washing machine and dishwasher for your convenience.
WiFi Internet
Free 1GB optic fibre WiFi is available throughout the house, in the pool bar and by the pool.
Towels included
Bath towels, hand towels, shower mats and beach towels are freshly washed waiting for you. For longer stays, towels will be replaced weekly.
Games console
The games room has a Playstation 4 including popular games.
Kitchen
Refrigerator
Siemens double door refrigerator with freezer, ice maker and filtered water.
Oven, grill
Siemens grill and oven with hot air function.
Coffee machines
Bean machine for perfect coffee with milk frother. A large bag of coffee beans will be waiting for you. There is also a small capsule Nespresso machine but we do not provide the capsules.
Kitchen equipment and utensils
The kitchen is equipped with all the devices and utensils you might need, including a blender, toaster, sandwich maker etc.
Cooker
Siemens induction hob with 7 burners. Naturally, all the pans are suitable for use with this hob.
Microwave
Siemens microwave with grill.
Various devices
Including a blender, kettle, sandwich maker and toaster,
Plates and cutlery
Plates, trays, bowls, glasses, coffee and tea cups and a complete cutlery set are available for more than 14 guests.
Safety devices
Security locks
Security locks on all outside doors, windows and sliding doors - sliding doors can be locked from the inside by the press of a button. All windows and sliding doors have sliding fly screens.
Alarm system
Casa da Rosa is equipped with an alarm system with reporting to Securitas central control room.
Exterior lighting
Most exterior lighting is activated by movement and all garden lighting is solar powered.
Fire extinguishers
There are several fire extinguishers around the house and there is a fire blanket in the kitchen.
First aid kit
There is a first aid box in the kitchen.
Smoke and carbon monoxide detector
Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are mounted in every room. These are connected to the Securitas monitored alarm system.
Emergency services
You can contact all emergency services via the alarm system. You simply press a button to speak to the Securitas control centre and they will contact whichever emergency service you need.
Access
The entire site is securely fenced, and access is only via a remote-controlled sliding gate.
Entertainment
Television
There are Smart UHD TVs in the living room and games room with free MEO TV access. All bedrooms also have Smart HD TVs with free MEO access.
Stereo
The house is equipped with portable Sonos speakers. With the free Sonos app you can play your favourite music from mobile or tablet.
Tourist info
In the living room are many flyers for local tourist attractions, tours and activities for all ages and interests.
Games
There are various indoor board and card games available in the living room. Outside you can play badminton, football and pétanque on the playing field, and some pool toys are provided.
TV channels
We provide free access to MEO TV with 200+ channels and you can access your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV etc accounts directly on the TVs.
Books
There a some books in various languages available.
Video games
In the games room is a Playstation 4 with some popular games, including Fifa.
Video's / DVD's
We no longer provide DVDs as this is covered by MEO, Netflix and YouTube.
Outside
Garden
Within the 12,000 meters of private land, we have 6,000 metres of perfectly maintained gardens, with a garden walking path. There is also a large playing field.
Terraces
There is a large terrace area around the pool with an adjacent large pool bar. At the opposite end of the pool is an area shaded by a large sailcloth canopy in the summer months. Some bedrooms have their own terrace, and the Master Bedroom has a surrounding balcony.
Pool bar
The pool bar has two lounge groups, one with sofas and one with a table and chairs. There is a central bar with guest refrigerator stocked with some of our favourite local wines available on a paid by the bottle basis. There are ceiling fans to keep you cool too.
Walking, running
There is a beautiful walking route around the gardens that can be used by both walkers and runners.
Deck chairs and umbrellas
Adjustable lounge chairs with cushions, tables and umbrellas are available on the pool terrace, as well as an area shaded by a sailcloth canopy in the summer months.
Barbecue patio
Between the kitchen and the barbecue is a lovely shaded patio with a 4 meter long wooden table and 12 chairs for outdoor dining.
Golf
In the Algarve there are beautiful golf courses where you can play without membership. Golf clubs can be rented, if you do not bring them with you.
Cycling, mountain biking
This area of the Algarve is fantastic for lovers of cycling and mountain biking. Bicycles and MTBs are available for hire locally.
Miscellaneous
Sight-seeing
The Algarve offers beautiful towns and villages, history, museums and culture. And incredible wildlife and nature. A visit to the Ria Formosa is a must during your stay and to the see the pink flamingos.
Nature
The Ria Formosa is a nature reserve comprising an area of islands and lagoons offshore running from Tavira in the East to Faro in the West. It can best be accessed by boat from all the major towns along this part of the coast. There are organised trips or you can take a ferry or water taxi to visits the islands.
Loulé
Loulé is 2 km from Casa da Rosa. It has a great selection of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and a fantastic indoor fresh food market.on Saturday morning there is also a street market where local growers/producers sell fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat products etc.

Beaches
The Algarve is famous for beautiful sandy beaches. There are several beaches within 20 minutes drive (Faro, Almancil, Quarteira). Albufeira is around 30 minutes.
Culinary
Portuguese cuisine is delicious and relatively inexpensive. Most Algarve restaurants use fresh regional products, and you can really taste the difference.
Food shopping
Loulé has all the necessary food shops. There are excellent supermarkets, as well as a fantastic indoor fresh food market in the Centre. The pastelarias for coffee and pastries are also an important part of daily life here.
